Looking at taking Monfils +275 tomorrow. Djokovic really hasn't been challenged yet in the tournament and I think Monfils could really give him a run tomorrow.

Also like Federer at -390 even though I don't like laying high juice. I just don't see him losing yet in the tournament.

Any insight would be appreciated.

Might lay off Monfils just because my book only offers to win bets and I can't get +games or the over in the match.

I'm on both favorites.
Monfils always folds...he will go out to lunch and make too many mistakes...than again talk about going out to lunch..Djokovic can certainly do this...But Djokovic is the better player who has won a Grand Slam and won many big matches in big events...I will take Djokovic. To bet against Federer - man - I will take the best player ever at a night match at the US OPEN anytime. This is no clay courter (ala Vilas) being taking out by a Butch Waltz (big server) Federer is a great hard court player - he is playing well, not injured. Good luck betting on Soderling. Great beats good. Its showtime tonight - main stage. Federer brings it and he will bring it for 3-4-5 hrs. Soderling only chance if Federer does not play well. Its not like he has a Sampras serve or a main weapon to control the match. Nothing Soderling does is better than Federer. Your betting that Federer is "off" - good luck with that - its showtime and Fed will be bringing it.

spxks - I really like Federer. He should cruise tonight. More than likely I will sit tonight's match out as I think the play is Federer but I don't know if I want to lay the juice. Good luck in your plays Djokovic looks good right now.

That first match was sickening. Monfils looked out of place after the first set. Federer has been the best player in the game, but he is falling fast. Soderling is the one to stop his streak and I see him being able to stop Federer again. Terrible conditions for the match going on right now and doesn't look like it will be improving much throughout the night. I wouldn't mind taking Federer but at +340 Soderling is too hard to pass up.

Great vs Good

Federer is great and great will top good almost eveytime. A very good player like Soderling - hopes/wants to win - Federer expects to win. The conditions were tough tonight. Federer easy again. Who is the guy saying he is on the downside. I certainly would not say that - this is not Mac against Courier or a Ken Rosewall against Connors. Federer is still at his physical peak. Simply not true to say that. Geez how old is Fed? 28? Please...if he has the desire to compete - he is fine...Nadal is the only player who can beat him in a big match consistently. Guys like Djokovic can rise up and get a win - but check the record - its far and few between in the big matches. Fed and Nadal are the cream of the crop still.

Thanks guys. Would not pat myself on back - I went 2-0 on two huge favorites lol but hey I will take it. It was a gamble (lotta juice) that paid off nicely. I was very confident with the picks the only way Djoko was losing to Monfils is if he tanked (mentally) as he is prone to do on occasion. Federer has been playing really well the only way he was losing is if he got hurt imo That Monfils - as they say in football - looks like Tarzan hits like Jane. Pathetic performance. Wind is no excuse when your at a Grand Slam event and the other guy has to play in it as well -

For today Thursday - who you guys like? The men stink today as far as wagering (imo) Nadal at my place is like -1400. I personally dont like the Youzhny Wawrinka matchup tough call they are 2-2 lifetime. But my pet peeve is guys who bandage themselves up and then sprint around court like they are in the Olympics. If you have ever pulled a muscle in your leg - how the hades does a little tape do the trick lol - NOTHING helps - except RICE. Guy is calling for trainer and once on court he is sprinting like crazy...need to get some of that magic tape.

Girls - gotta go with Woz at -350 and tonight (especially if still windy) Clijsters -200.
